L’Arche Liverpool is a vibrant, growing, International Ecumenical Christian Community of People with and without Learning Disabilities who live and work together.

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working people who are committed to supporting people with learning disabilities and who would like to experience being part of a community.

There are Relief hours currently available and there may also be temporary contracts available in the near future. Hours will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins and waking over-nights.

The role involves supporting people with learning disabilities at home, as part of a Community, enabling them to maximise their independence through the acquisition of new skills and increased social integration.

This role is subject to: Evidence of entitlement to work in the UK.

Fully enhanced CRB disclosure

Three satisfactory references

Full Training and Induction for the role will be given on commencement of employment

NVQ/ Diploma in Health and Social Care is an advantage

We are looking for extraordinary individuals to live and work as residential support workers in one of 9 L'Arche communities in the UK, supporting people in their own and shared homes, as part of an established community. You will receive:

- accredited training in all aspects of support work

- an Intensive experience of community

- role supervision

- mentoring opportunities for spiritual accompaniment and attendance at a Retreat.
